One-on-one lessons do cost more — and there are also many advantages. Private training may be a better choice for you if:
1. You need flexible scheduling
When group classes aren't being offered, private lessons can be scheduled one at a time to fit your busy schedule.
2. You have special goals or needs
Some people prefer to set their own pace with one-on-one instruction. Others have training goals that aren't covered in a typical group class. Private training is fully customized to you.
3. Your dog has a behavior issue
Some dogs are too nervous, excited or stressed to focus in a group. Others need a few private lessons to get ready for the next level. Fearful or aggressive dogs need those issues addressed before a public class.
