Puppy Manners & Socialization
Start your puppy out on the right paw with neat games, toys and treats that teach the behaviors you want — while building confidence and healthy social skills.
In the beginning-level classes, we'll use games, toys and food treats to teach your puppy the behaviors you want. You'll learn the best way to communicate with your individual dog and how to deliver rewards with good placement and timing for maximum learning impact. We'll also talk about how to "read" dog body language, stop unwanted behaviors, and recognize and promote healthy play between dogs.

In puppy's first class, we'll focus on:
- House-training, chew training & proper socialization
- Good manners and basics: Sit, Down, Come and Leave It
- Encouraging nice play without jumping or mouthiness
- Getting Puppy used to routine handling & grooming
- Developing focus and attention — even when excited
Puppy Manners 2: The Next Level

For puppies under 1 year who completed Puppy 1.

We take what we learned in the basic class and apply it to real-life situations:
- Recalls around distractions
- Stays, impulse control & good "door" manners
- Building confidence, attention & focus
- Walking politely on leash in a challenging world
- Play, games & exercise for better manners
* Ages are approximate. Small-breed dogs may do best in the puppy section; large-breed pups in the older-dog section. Any questions about which is best for your dog — please call! Permission of instructor is required for Puppy 2, and all pups must be current on vaccinations.

Request the fillable PDF for your class by email, complete and save it, then email it back to clickercoach@snowcrest.net. Forms are also available on the School's front porch, or I can email one to you.
2. Send payment
Payment must be received before the first class to hold your space. Pay by card on the Register & Pay page (no PayPal account needed), or mail a check payable to Emily Gaydos, 905 Lassen Lane, Mount Shasta, CA 96067. Cash and Venmo also welcome — just ask.
